Day one began with a hangover and an attitude, but a banana strawberry smoothie brightened his spirits a bit. For the next hour we proceded to throw out all the food that we would not be eating or drinking for the remainder of the diet. This included frozen pizzas, burritos, hot pockets, beer, wine (tear), and any other nasty processed food that our fridge was filled with. Now the healthy shopping began! We entered an abundance of veggies into our life, lots of romaine lettuce for salads, boneless skinless meat, eggs, etc. but sadly i wasn’t able to convince him that I pasta was a good idea… boo. Coming home and filling our fridge with the new food was very exciting, knowing that it was that easy to start eating healthy.

Now it was time to plan the first meal! Because we work swing shift, I normally make dinner, we eat, pack the rest up, and eat dinner again on our lunch break at work. Instead of doing that, we decided to just make enough for one sitting that we will eat on out break. Day one dinner was medium sized pork chops with a slice of lemon teaspoon of ketchup and a pinch of brown sugar, baked for 35 minutes and eaten with a salad. Pretty tasty in my opinion, even though Beau does not like salad at all, he choked it down. For snacks we brought one pepperoni stick each and a banana. This got us through and I only felt hungry right before dinner.

The work out of the day for Beau was 30 minutes of cardio, two ab workouts, 3 reps of 10 each, and 2 chest workouts, 3 reps of 10 each. Not the hardest work out plan, but its what he can do for now, and it will get harder in time!

Now we are home, and you know what that means… Weigh in time! drum roll please. 271! Good start and its exciting for both of us.
